The floating bridge connecting Lefkada with the coasts of Aitoloakarnania

Access to the island of Lefkada is particularly easy, as Lefkada, unlike the rest of the islands of Greece, is linked to the land by a 50 meter long floating bridge. With the completion of major road networks, access to the island is easier than ever. Aktio Airport, located 15 minutes from Lefkada, is also a good solution for those who want to come to the island by air.

By car

From Athens: Via the Athens-Corinth National Highway, the Rio-Antirion Bridge and the Ionian Road. In Amfilochia you will follow the road to Vonitsa and then follow the road to Lefkada. Total distance from Athens 370 km (approximately 4:30 hours).

From Northern Greece: Via Egnatia Odos you arrive at Ioannina and from there you follow the route to Preveza. From there, passing by the underwater bridge of Aktio, you will follow the road to Lefkada. Distance from Thessaloniki 385 km (approximately 4 hours).

By bus
